Actions Grill & Cafe

Actions Grill & Cafe is located at 406 Main Street, Wolfville, Nova Scotia.

Even though Wolfville is home to one of Nova Scotia's largest universities, Acadia University this little cafe is still known as a good place to go for a nice quiet meal.

Although you may not think it from the outside this is a very classy, clean and comfortable cafe. A wonderful feeling of peace seems to envelope you as you walk through the door and you hear the soft appropriate background music playing.

Depending on the season and the weather they have a nice private terrace where you may enjoy your meal. If you are visiting during the winter you can enjoy your meal by the warm crackling fireplace.

It does not matter if you are there during the busy lunch or supper hour or during the quiet mid-day the staff at Actions Grill & Cafe always take the time to make you feel welcome. They are very attentive to your needs, but do not make themselves a nuisance. Even during their busy times you do not have long unnecessary waits for service or your meal.

The food is very good, plus they offer a large selection of different sea food all done up in very interesting and delicious dishes. If seafood is not your thing then they also offer a large selection of other dishes which looked very appetizing.

I really enjoyed the Caesar salad and the lobster chowder was just wonderful, lots of lobster in it. They have a large assortment of salads to choose from, they all sounded very good. Of course mom had the pan-fried haddock which she enjoyed very much.

I have also tried the Nova Scotia Pan Roast which is to die for. It is loaded with salmon, shrimp, scallops and lobster all in a lobster sauce served with asparagus and rice. It is all arranged so nicely on the plate to, you feel like you are in a big fancy restaurant. The prices are a little more than I am used to, but for the food you get they are not unreasonable.
