Annapolis Valley Mysteries

Low Tide at Sandy Cove, Nova Scotia

Low Tide at Sandy Cove, Nova Scotia

There are so many interesting Annapolis Valley Mysteries that have taken place here over the last four hundred years.

Have you ever heard about the mysterious "Jerome" from Sandy Cove? We still do not know where he came from or how he found himself on the beach that day.

Did you know that there have been sightings of Big Foots in the Annapolis Valley and large "Sea Serphants" in the Bay of Fundy? There also have been several unexplained things happen aboard the many ships that sailed from our ports.

Yes, the Annapolis Valley holds a lot of history and along with that there are all kinds of Annapolis Valley Mysteries also. These mysteries range from a person born with special or unusual powers, to strange happenings that no one has been able to explain.

With Annapolis Valley Mysteries I hope to bring back these stories, provide a place for them to be written down. They are a part of our heritage and should be saved and provided for all to read.

I will let you decide if you think they are true or a product of someone's wild imagination. I do not claim that these Annapolis Valley Mysteries are all true or false, I am only providing the stories I have heard or read about over the years.

I am providing a refrence list for the stories at the bottom of this page.

When I was collecting together all my many stories from the Annapolis Valley I found I had to separate them into different catogories, I had so many.

Anything that had mention of a ghost or forerunner I added it to the section on Annapolis Ghost Stories.

Some stories had a real mystery or strange happening without any mention of the super-natural and you will find those stories in this section.

However some of our biggest mysteries in these parts is all the buried treasure and hidden riches said to be here. There were so many I decided to give these stories their own section called Annapolis Valley Treasure.

The last section in this group is all the stories handed down over the years that are neither ghost stories or mysteries but are a major part of who we are in the Annapolis Valley. These stories are about our people, our culture, our past and will be found in the section called Annapolis Valley Folklore.
