The Black Rock Trails Four Different Hiking Trails
The Black Rock Trails are great for hiking, mountain biking, or on horseback. The Black Rock Trails include 4 loops totaling 20 km. They are located on privately owned property; however the public is welcome to use them as long as they respect the land. They are open year round.
The trails start at the trail sign behind the Black Rock Community Hall, approx. 1 km from the Bay of Fundy Walking Trail Along The Bay of Fundy shore. Each trail is blazed with different colored markers pink, orange, blue and yellow. A 2.1 km section is common to the three larger trails with the pink one branching off early.   The Four Trails - Yellow Trail - This short trail is about 0.6 km and does a small circle in the mixed woods behind the Rec. Hall. It is a high dry trail good for a casual stroll to look at the birds and wildflowers.
- Green Trail - Also called the Wall Street Loop this trail is 4.3 km long. After splitting from the other trails the Green Trail follows Wall Street for a bit and then turns south and crosses a small meadow. From there it enters the woods on a footpath to connect back on with the other trails.
- Orange Trail - This one is called the Shore Trail and is 8.0 km long. This trail follows a creek, and then goes onto the shore for 2.5 km beach walk to Canada Creek. From the creek it follows the road up the hill where you will find a little short cut that will take you back to Wall Street Trail and the Hall.
Caution has to be taken on this trail where it follows along the beach. There are steep cliffs along the beach trail and you do not have anywhere to go if the incoming tide catches you. Allow yourself at least two hours of low tide time for this section. - Purple Trail - Called the Balsor Road Trail this one is the longest at 8.7 km and is more difficult. The trail follows the old Balsor road and is in wooded area almost the whole way. After leaving Murray Brook the road climbs up the mountain for nearly 2 km before it turns west. At its highest point the trail is 100 meters above the Bay of Fundy. From there the trail zigzags through spruce woods with a moss floor under foot until it returns back down to the main trail.
