Cafe Restaurant Compose

Cafe Restaurant Compose is located at 235 St. George Street in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. They are the only restaurant in town that offers a beautiful view of the Annapolis Basin and the boardwalk that follows along the shoreline behind the stores.

You are offered a magnificent view of the basin from the dining room, or you may choose a seat closer to the street. The whole dining room is tastefully decorated in an Austrian flair and is very cozy indeed. A nice background music is just enough to set the mood for a charming dinner experience.

On a nice day you are welcome to sit out back at one of the outside tables on their patio where you will be able to totally appreciate the view. There is nothing to compare to sitting out in the fresh air and watching the sun go down across the basin while you enjoy your meal.

The staff at the Cafe Restaurant Compose are very friendly and willing to help make this your best dining experience on your trip. They always seem to be there when you need them, but not so much that they become a nuisance. It is not unheard of for the owners to help out and to mingle with the guest.

The Chef is very good at what he does and it really shows. The food is delicious and it is prepared with flair and is always very nicely presented. The gourmet cuisine includes a wide range of delicious dishes which incorporate local products where possible.

They serve absolutely the best cafe latte and cappuccino around or you may choose from their list of locally made Nova Scotia wines.

The owners have recently added the Lunch Bistro which also offers very good quality food and a large variety. For those who still have room for dessert you may want to try one of the excellent homemade Austrian desserts.

The Cafe Restaurant Compose is a great place to eat while in Annapolis Royal. It is a little more expensive than other places, but the service and food are worth it.
