The Delaps Cove Wilderness Trail is owned by the Municipality of Annapolis County and is located along the Bay of Fundy Shore. The trails are open for walking and hiking. They actually consist of two main trails plus a logging road that joins them together. Total length is 10.3 km and will take you approximately 4 hours to complete. The Delaps Cove trails travel over land that once was a thriving community that was known to My sister Judy & I on the Trail support 70 inhabitants at one time. All the houses but one are gone but you will see the old foundations, rock walls, apple trees and other signs of the former community. The trail will also take you down along the rugged coastline of the Bay of Fundy where you will be able to observe the highest tides in the world. At the head of the trail is a map and information about the trail. You will find interpretive signage along the way that explains your surroundings making this a very informative walk. The first trail is the 2.2 km long Bohaker Trail that will take you through the mixed forest and out along the shore.
Along the way you will pass the Bohaker Falls where there is a look off built for you to observe these beautiful falls. Next you will come out onto an old logging road, the Shore Road which will take you the 2.7 km trek to the next trail. This old logging road passes through what was once the old community.
