Grand Pre Historical site

Grand Pre National Park

Grand Pre National Park

When you visit Grand Pre Historical Site, they offer something great in the way of where to eat. You can buy from their gift shop a picnic basket with lunch that you can take on the grounds and eat. We did this when we visited and it was wonderful and a great deal.

You get the basket (which you can keep for an additional five dollars and it's a lovely one and lined) table cloth, cutlery, napkins, two bottles of water, two bottles of apple juice, (everything else is for two people), a loaf of homemade bread, butter, apple butter, pickled herring, pickled eggs, tourtiere(they were yummy!) ham and cheese, bread and butter pickles, maple cookies, and apples.

This is all for 30$. If you keep the basket then it is an extra 5$. We enjoyed it so very much and we enjoyed sitting at a picnic table on the grounds near the church and statue of evangeline! Well worth it.

Wow Deb that sound so good! What a good deal to! I never knew about this before but it sure sounds like something to try on my next visit to Grand Pre. Thank you for sharing this with us.
