The Kentville Ravine Hiking Trail

The Kentville Ravine Trail is great for walking-hiking.

These Kings County Trails are owned by Agriculture and Agri-Foods Canada and are open all year long.

Give yourself about two hours to complete this 4.3 km long trail leading through the ravine.

The trail starts off through a small field, which has a brook running through it. You will then walk into the ravine that has high walls rising up on either side of you.

You will have a chance to see a variety of ferns and mosses and large old growth hemlock trees. There is also a waterfall to view.

Near the end of the trail you will ascend a steep incline that offers you cliff edge views into the ravine. Here you will have to be careful and use caution, as there are no rails.

Directions

Take exit 12 off Highway 101 and turn left at the lights towards Kentville. The trails are located at the Kentville Agriculture Centre, known locally as the Kentville Research Centre along highway 1.

You may park in the lower parking lot beside the sign or continue up the driveway to the end for the upper parking lot.
