Lockhart Ryan Memorial Park Trails
The Lockhart Ryan Memorial Park has quite a large system of multi-use trails which are great for walking-hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing. The trails are owned by the Municipality of Kings and are located just on the outskirts of Kentville. They are a part of a sixty-acre community recreational park. The park trails are all interconnecting and offer a wide selection of routes to take covering about 2.6 km. The main trail skirts the parks playing fields and another trail takes you along the river bank with views of a large grassy marsh and flood dykes. Along the trails you will see mainly hardwood trees including aspen, oaks and birch. All the trails are well maintained, easy to follow and are wheelchair assisted. The park has a canteen, tennis courts and a playground plus it is patrolled until 10 pm. every evening.   DirectionsTo get to the Lockhart Ryan Memorial Park you take exit 12 off of highway 101 and drive until you reach the traffic lights where you turn right. Drive through the town to the outskirts until you see a sign marking the park on the right. Enter and drive down the hill. Turn left just before the tennis courts.   | The Lockhart Ryan Memorial Park is such a pleasant park, don't you think?
