Mountain Top Cottages TrailsThe Mountain Top Cottages Trails provide 4 different trails to explore all colour coded for your convenience. These trails are for walking & hiking only. As these are for the guest that stay at the cottages, make sure to ask permission at the office before heading out on the trails. The 1.65 km long yellow trail and the 0.7 km blue trail are the main ones for hiking. These trails surround the small lake; follow a brook, lead through a mixed forest; go by a stone wall and into a grassy field where there are still signs of an old homestead. The yellow trail will join onto the paved road for a section, back to the office. The blue trail starts at the lake but then turns to follow a brook before heading into a mixed forest.
The Mountain Top Cottages are located on the top of the mountain along the Parker Mountain Road. From Annapolis Royal head northeast on Rt. #1 across the causeway until you come to the Parker Mountain Road on the left. Continue about 4.5 km from the turn off up to the top of the North Mountain. You will come to the Mountain Top Cottages on your right along the top of the mountain. Make sure you stop into the office to ask permission to use the trails.
