Three Great Maritime Casseroles

by Phyllis
(Annapolis Valley)

Salmon Casserole

A very quick and easy recipe for those busy days.

½ pkg macaroni
1 large can mushroom soup
1 large can salmon
Cheese slices
Bread crumbs

Cook macaroni and drain. Add mushroom soup, salmon and bread crumbs. Top with cheese slices. Bake at 375 F for 15 – 20 minutes.

Tuna Casserole

A easy recipe that goes great for pot luck dinners or to feed the family.

3 cups macaroni
6 ½ ozs tuna
¼ cup celery
1 can mushroom soup
½ cup milk
¼ cup cheddar cheese
½ cup miracle whip

Cook macaroni, drain and let cool. Add the rest of the ingredients except the cheese. Mix together. Put in casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese on top.

Shipwreck Casserole

My family just love this one.

1 lg onion sliced
2 lg potatoes thinly sliced
1 lb hamburger
1 cup minute rice
2 stalks of celery chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1 can diced tomatoes

In a casserole dish layer in this order: onion, potatoes, hamburger, minute rice and celery. Season with salt & pepper. Pour over can of tomatoes on top. Add 1 can boiling water over the top. Bake uncovered in 350 f oven for 2 hours.

Wow, the shipwreck recipe looks like something my son would really like! We will have to try it along with the others. Thanks for sharing them with us.
